Soccer Recap: Northgate Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northgate can now relate to. They fell just short of the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Red Tailed Hawks are ranked 83rd).

Northgate's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Tamalpais, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Northgate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tamalpais, they will take on Amador Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Amador Valley will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Tamalpais surely won't give up without a fight.
