Basketball Recap: Nayeli Gil-Silva Key Part of Team Effort in Trojans Win

Alisal's tournament run continued when they took on Foothill on Friday. The Trojans blew past the Falcons 54-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Alisal's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nayeli Gil-Silva, who posted 17 points and five steals. That's the most points Gil-Silva has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Mia Rivera, who earned 14 points and three steals.

Alisal's record is now 2-0. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Alisal and Woodland Christian will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Foothill, they will head out to challenge Castro Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
