Baseball Recap: Morrow's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Morrow unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 12-7 to the Lovejoy Wildcats. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Zoran Galloway was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Morrow is 8-3 when Galloway posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Mingo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Morrow's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lovejoy, they moved to 6-9-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Morrow will head out to face off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Morrow will need to watch out since Northgate has now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches. As for Lovejoy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Banneker at 5:30 p.m. Banneker has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.31 runs per game on average), something Lovejoy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
