Soccer Recap: Newnan Comes Up Short

Newnan came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Northside Patriots, falling 5-2. Newnan were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northside apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Newnan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Northside, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newnan will take on Northgate at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Northgate will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Newnan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northside, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Thomas County Central at 7:00 p.m. on April 11.
