Volleyball Recap: Manzano Monarchs vs. Santa Fe Demons
Manzano came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Santa Fe Demons, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Monarchs have suffered since November 8, 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-19.
Tenille Coleman paced Manzano's offense, picking up nine kills. Coleman got some help from Alyssa Martinez and her 12 assists. Martinez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brooke Garcia, each putting up three.
Payten Chavez was nothing short of spectacular for Santa Fe: she had 11 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Chavez has posted since back in September.
