Soccer Recap: Rodriguez Comes Up Short

Rodriguez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vanden Vikings. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Rodriguez couldn't quite close it out.

Rodriguez's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Vanden, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 3-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rodriguez will square off against rival Vacaville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Vanden is set to face off against their familiar foe River City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
