Soccer Game Preview: Valhalla vs. Steele Canyon

The Valhalla Norsemen will square off against the Steele Canyon Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Valhalla is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Steele Canyon better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Valhalla really get things going. Valhalla never let Santana onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday. The Norsemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Santana with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mirna Waltr, Allie Fehrensen, and Alaina Yatooma.

Meanwhile, Steele Canyon and La Jolla finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Monday.

With that draw, Steele Canyon's record moves to 4-5-4. As for Valhalla, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-7-2.

Valhalla was able to grind out a solid victory over Steele Canyon when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 2-0. Will Valhalla repeat their success, or does Steele Canyon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
