Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe vs. Sandia + How To Watch

The Santa Fe Demons will square off against the Sandia Matadors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Santa Fe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Eldorado, who was ranked 13th at the time (Santa Fe was ranked 22nd). The Demons fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Santa Fe have struggled against Eldorado recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Sandia kept a clean sheet against Manzano on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Monarchs. Considering Sandia have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Manzano with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elvis Sanchez, Mateo Ojeda, and Ethan Tewa.

The victory made it two in a row for Sandia and bumps their season record up to 12-3-2. As for Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Santa Fe came out on top in a nail-biter against Sandia when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Demons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Matadors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
