Softball Recap: Meeker Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Meeker had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 6-16 to make it four. They came up short against the Eaton Reds, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Reds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-0 back in August.

As for Eaton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Eaton's part, not much got past Kenzie Braddy, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Meeker off the board. Braddy has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emma Anderson and Bria Foster did most of the damage at the plate: Anderson went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Foster got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was Foster's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rayelle Navarro, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Meeker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eaton, they have already played their next game, a 15-0 win against La Junta on the 18th.
