Volleyball Recap: Homestead's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Homestead had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hartford Orioles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

One reason for the win was Homestead's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-7.

Homestead was led to victory by Lauren Fitzgibbon and Kennedy Klueger. Fitzgibbon had ten digs, while Klueger had five digs and three aces. That's the most digs Fitzgibbon has posted over her last six matchups.

They weren't the only good servers: Homestead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are a perfect 8-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Homestead's record is now 16-10. As for Hartford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Homestead will venture away from home to take on Waukesha North at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hartford, they will host West Bend West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
