Citizens Christian Academy dropped their record down to 13-7-2 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 12-2 to the Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Gray McLean made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7. Considering they have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Robert Toombs Christian Academy's side, Brittan Tabor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Tabor was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bray Williamson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Gage Brantley was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Citizens Christian Academy will take on Trinity Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, they will square off against Mount de Sales Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
