After a string of four wins, Berkner's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 24-19 to the Lake Highlands Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Wildcats are ranked 104th).
Berkner lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nicko Campbell, who picked up 115 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 83 yards on only six carries. Ty Crethers also helped out as he racked up 139 receiving yards.
