Minooka is 8-2 against Plainfield South since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. Plainfield South took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Minooka, who comes in off a win.

Minooka will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Lincoln-Way West on Monday. The Indians blew past the Warriors 5-2. Considering Minooka have won nine matchups by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Plainfield South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against South Elgin, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Plainfield South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 396th, while South Elgin are ranked 24th).

Plainfield South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Minooka, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-1.

Minooka beat Plainfield South 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
