Soccer Game Preview: Compton Early College vs. Dominguez

The Compton Early College Rising Phoenix will take on the Dominguez Dons in a holiday battle at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Compton Early College didn't have quite enough to beat Environmental Charter and fell 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Compton Early College came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Environmental Charter are ranked 778th).

Meanwhile, Dominguez and Compton Early College finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Compton Early College fell to 7-1-2. With that draw, Dominguez's record moves to 0-0-2.
