Baseball Recap: Cook Comes Up Short

Cook and Pierce County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Cook had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Cook's defeat dropped their record down to 23-11. As for Pierce County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-8.

While Cook had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
