Softball Recap: Bellevue West Thunderbirds vs. Gretna Dragons
Bellevue West had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-3 to make it six. They fell just short of the Gretna Dragons by a score of 9-7. If the Thunderbirds were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Dragons when the teams met back in October of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Aubrey Busch made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Veik, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
