While Kent Island's win against Parkside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buccaneers skirted past the Rams 36-33. The victory continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won six in a row.

Jaxson Hess was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 147 yards and three scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Parkside lost on Friday, don't look at Denim Ballard. Despite the final result, he rushed for 155 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Tavian Dashiell, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Kent Island's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Parkside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Kent Island will host Wicomico at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so the Buccaneers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Parkside, they will venture away from home to face off against North Caroline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
