Soccer Game Preview: Valley Center vs. Fallbrook

The Valley Center Jaguars will venture away from home to square off against the Fallbrook Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Center's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Valley Center's offense. They came up short against Rancho Bernardo on Thursday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 436th, while the Broncos are ranked 202nd).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Fallbrook was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and Escondido finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

Fallbrook's goal came courtesy of Sophia Fredrick, who's now up to ten this season.

Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-2. Fallbrook's draw gives them a new season record of 10-5-3.

Valley Center suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Fallbrook in their previous meeting back in January. Can Valley Center avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
