Football Recap: Fairmont Heights Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fairmont Heights faced off against Gwynn Park in a bug-themed battle on Friday. The Hornets and the Yellowjackets were almost perfectly matched up, but the Hornets suffered a 27-26 defeat. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Gwynn Park was led to victory by Rasheed Howard and William Butler. Howard gained 131 total yards and two touchdowns, while Butler rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Howard a new career-high in rushing yards (100).

Fairmont Heights now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Gwynn Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
