Soccer Game Preview: Harbor vs. Aptos

Harbor is 0-9-1 against Aptos since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Harbor Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Aptos Mariners at 7:00 p.m.

Harbor is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to Soquel. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1026th, while the Knights are ranked 384th).

Harbor's goal came courtesy of Rebecca Vaca, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Aptos had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They never let the Cardinals onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mariners, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Aptos' win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
