Softball Recap: St. Pius X Comes Up Short

St. Pius X was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Charles West Warriors.

Taylor Bean spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Michaela Quick was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season.

St. Pius X's record now sits at 1-13. As for St. Charles West, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Pius X will head out to take on St. Clair at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Charles West, they will face off against Orchard Farm at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
