Baseball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Salem's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Redan Raiders on Tuesday. The Seminoles have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Salem saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Jones, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Jones is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Redan, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Salem has already played their next matchup, a 17-14 loss against Alcovy on the 19th. As for Redan, they will square off against Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Redan knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Salem likes a good challenge.
