Baseball Recap: South Gwinnett Drops Season-High Score on Heritage

South Gwinnett scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Heritage Patriots, falling 19-9. The Comets just can't catch a break and have now endured 12 defeats in a row.

Christopher Frazier made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam Rayford, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, South Gwinnett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
