Silex entered their tilt with Bowling Green on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Bobcats. That looming 10-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Owls yet this season.

Rylan Harris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Wotring, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kherrington Morris, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Silex kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Silex's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Bowling Green, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silex will face off against Elsberry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bowling Green, they will head out to face off against Wright City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
