Basketball Recap: Granada Takes a Loss

Granada lost against Dublin back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Granada Matadors were dealt a 69-42 loss at the hands of the Dublin Gaels. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 391st, while the Gaels are ranked 143rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Granada and nudges their season record down to 10-15. As for Dublin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Granada will square off against Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Skyline will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Granada surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dublin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dublin is facing Liberty at the right time seeing as Liberty is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
