Recap: Kearny Komets vs. La Jolla Vikings
The Kearny Komets lost against the La Jolla Vikings back in May of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Kearny fell to La Jolla 44-40. That's two games in a row now that Kearny has lost by exactly four points.
Reagan Bennett was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds for La Jolla. That's the first time this season that Bennett pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Policaro, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Kearny and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for La Jolla, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Kearny will take on Mount Miguel in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at. Mount Miguel is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. La Jolla will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Del Norte at 2:00 p.m. on December 20th.
