Basketball Recap: Golden Sierra Skates Past San Juan with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Golden Sierra on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the San Juan Spartans out of the water with a 52-16 final score. The Grizzlies pushed the score to 37-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans had little chance of recovering from.

Golden Sierra's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mary Nicole Turner led the charge by putting up 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Turner continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Carly Sherman was another key player, earning nine points in addition to six steals and five boards.
