Baseball Recap: Benedictine Comes Up Short

Benedictine suffered their biggest defeat since February 20th on Thursday. They came up short against the Wayne County Yellow Jackets, falling 11-1. The Cadets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Benedictine's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Wayne County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

While Benedictine had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
