Soccer Game Preview: Downey vs. El Rancho

The Downey Vikings will square off against the El Rancho Dons at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Saturday, neither Downey nor Harvard-Westlake could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, El Rancho kept a clean sheet against Alhambra on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Moors. Fans of El Rancho have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Leidaly Gaona and Amy Esqueda scored all three of El Rancho's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Downey's draw gives them a new season record of 0-0-2. As for El Rancho, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
