Softball Recap: Sylva Bay Academy Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sylva Bay Academy's offense. They came up short against the Laurel Christian Lions on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Saints have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Sylva Bay Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Laurel Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Laurel Christian is taking a road trip to take on Newton County Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sylva Bay Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Lions' matchup: after the Lions face off against Christian Collegiate Academy, they'll take on Sylva Bay Academy again at 6:30 p.m. on September 9.
