Softball Game Preview: Gehlen Catholic Jays vs. Western Christian Wolfpack

The Gehlen Catholic Jays will head out on the road to face off against the Western Christian Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Gehlen Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat West Sioux and fell 6-5. The Jays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

MOC-Floyd Valley typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Western Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Dutchmen.

Western Christian's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14. As for Gehlen Catholic, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Gehlen Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Western Christian in their previous meeting back in June of 2019, winning 8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
