Recap: Mifflin County Huskies vs. Palmyra Cougars
The Mifflin County Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Palmyra by a score of 40-37. While losing is never fun, Mifflin County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 448th, while Palmyra is ranked 124th).
Palmyra was led to victory by Addison Salus and Mya Doster. Salus scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Doster scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Keely Bowers was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Mifflin County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Palmyra, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mifflin County will square off against Milton Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmyra, they will head out on the road to face off against Red Land at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
