Softball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Columbus's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-19.

Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 defeat against Louisa-Muscatine on the 12th.
