Surry Central's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. North Surry Greyhounds

After a string of seven wins, the Surry Central Golden Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 65-50 to North Surry. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Surry Central in their matchups with North Surry: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Surry Central still got an impressive performance from Ayden Wilmoth, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Evan Wall was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Surry Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for North Surry, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Surry Central will take on East Surry at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Surry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Surry Central likes a good challenge. As for North Surry, they will head out on the road to face off against North Wilkes at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
