Basketball Recap: Whitmer Comes Up Short

If Whitmer was feeling good fresh off their 65-30 takedown of Bowling Green on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers were outmatched by the Hoover Vikings and fell 76-46.

Hoover got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Newell out in front who shot 71% from the field on his way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Brady Mccann, who went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points.

Whitmer's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Whitmer has already played their next matchup, a 77-44 loss against Reynoldsburg on the 7th. As for Hoover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-48 victory against Garfield Community Learning Center on the 6th.
