Soccer Game Preview: Tucker vs. Marist

The Tucker Tigers will take on the Marist War Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Tucker's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, it was close, but Tucker sidestepped Northview for a 2-1 win. Given Tucker's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Northview are ranked 248th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Colin Mott and Sarrive Ishiabwe scored both of Tucker's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Meanwhile, Marist put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Druid Hills get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Marist were the better team in the second half.

Tucker pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five matchups. As for Marist, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
