After losing to McCook the last time they met, Chase County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Longhorns skirted past the Bison 34-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.

Avery Beemer was the offensive standout of the matchup as she posted seven points and three blocks. Alexandria Reeves was another key player, putting up eight points.

McCook's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cali Crawford, who earned 11 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks, and Brecken Gale, who put up six points and six steals.

Chase County's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Chase County will venture away from home to challenge Sidney at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McCook, they will take on Burlington in a tournament on Thursday.
