Charleroi is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Washington a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Charleroi Cougars will host the Washington Prexies at 7:00 p.m.

Charleroi lost 55-33 to Waynesburg Central last Monday.

Meanwhile, Washington came into Monday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged Brownsville out 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Prexies have posted since February 10, 2024.

Washington's win came from a few key players Charleroi will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier King, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 15 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Woods, who posted eight points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Charleroi, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Charleroi might still be hurting after the 50-27 defeat they got from Washington in their previous matchup back in December of 2024.
