Football Game Preview: Turner Golden Bears vs. KIPP Legacy

The Turner Golden Bears will face off against KIPP Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Turner hasn't scored more than 12 points for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Turner is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Seaman on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Golden Bears were outmatched by the Vikings and fell 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Vikings are ranked 87th).

Carlos Alexander put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 53 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, KIPP Legacy scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 42-22 to Northeast.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for KIPP Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-4.

Turner was taken down by KIPP Legacy 34-6 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Golden Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
