Football Recap: Solomon Takes a Loss

Solomon lost against Central Plains back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gorillas were dealt a 54-6 defeat at the hands of the Oilers. The Gorillas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Solomon's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Central Plains, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solomon will challenge Ell-Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gorillas will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Central Plains, they will square off against Goessel at 7:00 p.m. on October 4. The Oilers will be up against the Bluebirds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
