Baseball Game Preview: Baldwin Braves vs. West Laurens Raiders

Baldwin hasn't had much luck against West Laurens recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Braves will be playing at home against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Things were looking good for Baldwin after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 19-16 to Northeast.

Meanwhile, West Laurens never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Cross Creek with a sharp 21-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

West Laurens moved to 13-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Baldwin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Baldwin suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to West Laurens in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
