Basketball Recap: Temescal Canyon Extends Winning Streak to Three

Temescal Canyon extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ahmani Browder. The Temescal Canyon Titans took down the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs 67-48 on Thursday thanks to Browder, who dropped a triple-double with 31 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Temescal Canyon's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Stephanie Cheatham, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 13 points. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, California School for the Deaf-Riverside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kailea Davis-Kent dropped a double-double with 33 points and 24 boards. Davis-Kent is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

Temescal Canyon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-5.

Temescal Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-50 victory against Palm Desert on the 15th. California School for the Deaf-Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
