Baseball Recap: Manheim Central Victorious

While Manheim Central's victory against Warwick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Barons narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warriors 3-2. The Barons haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Colin Connelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Clint Groff was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Manheim Central's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Warwick, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-12-1.

As of now, neither Manheim Central nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
