Softball Recap: Perry Extends Winning Streak to Four

Perry had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Schley County Wildcats a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Perry's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Schley County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Perry has already played their next matchup, a 12-5 defeat against Lee County on the 2nd. As for Schley County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Taylor County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
