There's no place like home for Independence, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the South Tama County Trojans on Wednesday as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 10-23. As for South Tama County, their loss was their 27th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-21.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Independence beat the Trojans by a score of 13-1 later that day.
