Crossland had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 1-2 to make it seven. They took a blow against the Largo Lions, falling 42-6. The Cavaliers lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 27-24 score last time.

Marquise Lesane threw for 114 yards and one touchdown. Jaison Winters was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and one TD.

Largo's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 48-8).

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Tymond Foxx and Jaylin Mathis. Foxx rushed for 85 yards and four scores while Mathis rushed for 87 yards and one TD. Nigel Trice was in the mix as well, providing Largo with one touchdown.
