Softball Recap: Forest Park Comes Up Short

Forest Park fell victim to Midtown and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 17-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Forest Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Wiley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Forest Park's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Midtown, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Forest Park will challenge Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Seminoles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.15 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Midtown, they will face off against Druid Hills at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.63 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
