Windsor Academy entered their tilt with Heritage on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hawks 12-10. 12 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Windsor Academy let Rayne Wesson and Kyndall Bowen run wild. Wesson went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI, while Bowen went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave Wesson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hadley Hill, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Windsor Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Windsor Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Heritage, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Coincidentally, Windsor Academy and Heritage will both be playing Flint River Academy the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
