Recap: St. Paul Swordsmen vs. La Salle Lancers
If the St. Paul Swordsmen were feeling good off their 58-17 takedown of the Maranatha Minutemen on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Paul's tough 55-30 defeat to La Salle on Saturday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, St. Paul can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while La Salle is ranked 26th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead La Salle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Cortes, who scored 23 points. Cortes continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Audrey Chen, who scored 9 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
St. Paul now has a losing record at 5-6. As for La Salle, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
St. Paul is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Oak Hills at 3:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for La Salle, they will face off against Schurr at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
