Softball Recap: Roosevelt Gets the Win

The Roosevelt Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Madison Trojans 10-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Roosevelt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was T Swindle, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. J Roberson was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will venture away from home to face off against Polytechnic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carter at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th.
